Begin your adventure with an inspiring drive through the Long Range Mountains and along Bonne Bay to the quaint village of Norris Point.Hike and explore the Arctic alpine summit of Gros Morne Mountain, traverse the earth’s mantle of the Tablelands, Green Garden’s volcanic coastline, and reach the Big Lookout for the best panoramic view of Gros Morne National Park.
The northern region of Gros Morne National Park reveals a coastal lowland, bogs and limestone ridges that lead to the infamous Western Brook Pond fjord, a spectacular freshwater lake hemmed in by 650m high rock walls. Join a boat tour to explore the fjord’s 16 km length and see waterfalls tumble from an 800m high alpine plateau.
Inhale the sea salt air and listen for the blow of the Minke whale. Enjoy a picnic lunch on a secluded beach and either recline or spend some time beachcombing.
