Itinerary Highlights

Day 1
Arrive Banff. Check into your hotel.  Explore Banff with a gondola ride  to the  top of Sulpher mountain to take the skywalk and a view of six mountain ranges.  Enjoy dinner at one of Banff’s internationally acclaimed restaurants.   Spend the evening at a cozy Banff Lodge.

Day 2
After breakfast, get packed and ready lots of water for the hike into the backcountry lodge. Rendezvous with your guide and drive deeper into Banff National park  to the trailhead at the base of Copper Mountain.  Time to say good bye to the highway and head into the backcountry as you follow the 14km  Red earth hiking trail  to Shadow Lake. The hike takes about 5 hours and offers stunning views of the Massive Range of the Rocky Mountains.

Upon arrival at the Lodge, you are e greeted with the sweet smells of homemade breads and goodies as afternoon tea is served. After  refreshments, check into your own  heated cabin with  solar powered lighting, wash basin and  access to a  central shower cabin.  Reconvene in the early evening  to the central dining room where fresh breads, homemade soup, delicious salad, vegetable dishes and daily choice of Pork Tenderloin, Chicken Breast, Beef tenderloin, Salmon or Tuna are served, bound to satisfy. Day 3
Daily homemade breads start the day accompanied by a hearty breakfast. Lunches, build your own with varieties of foods for your day hike.  Hike  the north shore of Shadow Lake  to get a picturesque view at the base of Mount Ball and then head for 7500 feet Ball pass situated on the Great Divide between Alberta and B. C.  Return to the  lodge for  shower, drinks and another fine meal.

Day 4
After breakfast, explore Gibson pass and the twin lakes trail as you hike out to the trail head. Hop into your vehicle and head back to Banff for a  dip in the world famous hot springs.  Enjoy dinner at one of Banff’s internationally acclaimed restaurants

Depart after breakfast
