Our Roots
Our roots are in Canada’s Algonquin Park where our first company Voyageur Quest - Canadian wilderness trips for the inquisitive spirit was estbalished in 1991. Voyageur Quest operates lodge based, wilderness canoe, and dogsled trips. Voyageur Quest owns 2 lodge properties - the Algonquin Log Cabin and Algonquin Cottage Outpost which feature 3 to 5 day multi-adventures with superb guides and delicious home cooked regional meals. Voyageur Quest has been nationally recognized by the Canadian Tourism Commission as one of Canada’s top soft adventure/eco-tourism companies particularly in the learning and culture category.
Langford and Company is the response to many of our existing customers’ requests for help in planning adventures to other destinations. With 15 years experience as an adventure tour operator, we have long standing relationships with other like-minded operators across Canada and the Americas. Our Explore Canada adventure collection reflects Canada’s spectacular range and our passion for this country.

Growing up in Toronto, my parents thought it essential that we (5 kids) explore and get to know our country. As a family, we adventured across Canada from coast to coast. Cottages in Northern Ontario and Quebec, deep sea fishing and sand dune jumping in PEI, a train ride across Canada, rock climbing in the Canadian Rockies, forging freezing glacier streams, and landing a 20 lb. Pacific salmon with my mother – these are my vivid memories of summers in Canada. These are the times when our fmaily laughed, played and had the most fun exploring together.
My passion for Canada’s natural ingredients was established early in life and continues to shape our Langford Family Eco-Adventures collection.
Early in my adventure career I trained at Yamnuska Mountain School and guided at Outward Bound. I developed a preference for intimate and authentic experiences. Spectacular destinations do indeed get visited by more people, however, I believe one can experience these spots in a manner that aims to heighten their original and natural essence.
